I am currently using 9 of these boards. Chris Lange of Tacuna systems has been very helpful in assisting with setup, debugging, and tailoring the boards to my specific needs. I am using 8 of them to amplify quarter bridge strain gauges that get the resonant frequency of a vibrating tank. I am acquiring the data with LabView at 2000 samples per second. After some adjustments and tinkering, the boards are working flawlessly at 1000X gain with minimal noise. I am using a ninth board in full bridge mode to modify a digital hanging scale. The scales accuracy has gone from 100 grams to 0.6 grams and now connects to a computer instead of a small digital display. It rivals in precision and accuracy to scales costing many times more. I would highly recommend this product for your strain gauge amplification needs. Easy to use, relatively inexpensive, and highly sensitive and flexible.
At first I couldn’t tell if the chip would work for my application. After explaining my application to the technical support they not only told me it would work but helped me through every stage from purchasing to installation. They even followed up just to make sure that I was satisfied and happy with the way the chip worked. If I needed another signal conditioner I would get this one without hesitation!
excellent little board! i needed to reduce signal noise in a very sensitive temperature-control experiment. after my keithley instruments failed i turned to tacuna systems to rebuild -- glad i did!
Ordered this product as part of a research project at a university. Order was shipped promptly and the conditioner works as intended. The biggest plus here? Absolutely fantastic help! Chris Lange was able to walk me, an admitted and unrepentant amateur, through connections issues I had on my end and provide advice on the use of the product. He even accepted email photos of my set-up and consulted with engineers on his end to determine the best way to use the conditioner. Practically the same as having a knowledgeable technician right there in the lab with me.
