This document outlines the Terms and Conditions for all scholarships, bursaries, and awards administered by the Tacuna Systems LLC Scholarship Outreach Program. All scholarships, bursaries, and awards will be referred to as ‘scholarships’ herein. By submitting an application for our scholarship, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
Agreement
You must read these Terms and Conditions in their entirety before you accept your scholarship offer. When you accept your scholarship, you are agreeing to and accepting these Terms and Conditions and agreeing to the requirements and conditions of your scholarship. We may also require students in receipt of a scholarship to sign an individual scholarship agreement. Students must meet all conditions as outlined in the agreement.
Communications and Acceptance
All correspondence between the applicant and Tacuna Systems will be primarily via email. We may also opt for telephone communication, at Tacuna Systems’ discretion. All applicants must use a school or university email address to be eligible. Any changes to this email address, after submission of your application and without necessary cause, may result in cancellation of your application. Any successful applicant may be required to show proof that they are enrolled in, or have been accepted into, an accredited university course. All students awarded scholarships will receive an official ‘offer’ email offering the funds. The student must reply, either accepting or rejecting this offer, within 14 days of receipt. Failure to respond within this 14-day period may result in the withdrawal and reassignment of your scholarship offer. You must accept your scholarship offer by the due date, as instructed in your offer email, to be eligible to receive payment.
Payment
Tacuna Systems will make payment of the funds in one single installment. However, we reserve the right to make payment in multiple installments, as we see fit. We will outline the total value of the scholarship in the official offer email. We reserve the right to offer any value of funds, up to the value of $1000. We will pay the scholarship funds directly to your account with your institution of enrollment. Tacuna Systems reserves the right to make the final decision on the disbursement of payment. We can withdraw the offer of your scholarship in the absence of an amicable and realistic payment process.
Eligibility
Scholarships are awarded based on established eligibility criteria. You must meet the eligibility requirements to receive your scholarship payment. We have outlined the eligibility requirements for each scholarship on the scholarship page of our website. We do not require you to recind any other scholarship award to be eligible for this one. In other words, you may hold more than one scholarship.
Taxation
Tacuna Systems is not responsible for and cannot provide you with financial advice on taxation matters. The information provided here is of a general nature only and does not take into account your individual financial circumstances. If you are a full-time (at least 18 credit points per semester) enrollee, your scholarship payment may not be taxable. However, Tacuna Systems is not responsible for checking and notifying you of, nor paying any taxation obligations.
False Information
Providing false or misleading information is an offense. If Tacuna Systems knows or has reason to believe that you have provided false or misleading information, Tacuna Systems may reassess your entitlement to the scholarship, and you will be liable to repay to Tacuna Systems the total sum of any payments incorrectly made to you.
Program cancellation
Tacuna Systems reserve the right to cancel the Scholarship program at any point.
Privacy
Tacuna Systems will not share your application with any company affiliates, including personal information such as your email address.
Complaints
Should the applicant have any grievances or complaints, you may lodge complaints about application and/or administrative matters to: scholarship@tacunasystems.com If you believe the complaint has not been addressed in a satisfactory manner, you may submit a written grievance to: Tacuna Systems 1100 Johnson Rd.
