Crane Scales

Crane scales weigh hanging loads from a crane or hoist during lifting. We carry ANYLOAD and AmCells models, from compact and light duty scales to heavy duty, heat-resistant, and wireless designs.

Crane Scale Uses

Common applications include steel mills and foundries, shipping and receiving, scrap and recycling yards, rigging and proof testing, overload checks, and commercial fishing.

Choosing a Crane Scale

  • Capacity: choose a capacity above your heaviest lift, plus a margin for shock loading.
  • Environment: heat-resistant models shield the electronics near furnaces and hot metal. Sealed stainless steel models, such as the 110ES-WL, handle saltwater and washdown.
  • Display: LED displays read well from a distance and in bright light, while LCD displays use less power. Wireless models send readings to a handheld or remote display so operators can stay at a safe distance.
  • Hook and shackle: choose a rotating or fixed hook, and check the hook and shackle sizes against your rigging.
  • Functions: most models include zero, tare, and hold. Check each product page for features such as data output or remote control.
