Weigh Pads and Axle Scales
Weigh pads are portable, low-profile scales that weigh vehicles one wheel or axle at a time. Set them on firm ground, drive on, and read the total from a single indicator. No pit or permanent foundation is needed. We carry ANYLOAD AXA pads in three sizes, with capacities from 0.5 t to 20 t per pad.
Weigh Pad Uses
Common applications include axle load checks for trucks and trailers, aircraft weight and balance, roadside overload enforcement, fleet and logistics weighing, and finding the center of gravity of vehicles and equipment.
Choosing Weigh Pads
- Capacity: each pad carries one wheel or wheel set, so size it for the heaviest wheel load, not the full vehicle weight. Add a margin for uneven loading.
- Platform size: the pad must be wider and longer than the tire footprint. Larger pads suit dual tires and heavy trucks.
- Number of pads: use one pad per wheel to weigh the whole vehicle at once, or weigh axle by axle with fewer pads. Our AN560 indicator connects to up to eight pads wirelessly.
- Static or in motion: static weighing gives the best accuracy. Weigh-in-motion lets vehicles roll slowly across the pads and is available on the largest model.
- Surface: place all pads on level, firm ground, with ramps on both sides, for accurate readings.
