The Tacuna Systems EMBSGB200 load cell amplifier is a low cost output signal booster for strain gauge sensors. It features factory-calibrated gain settings for ease of use. This amplifier completes a single quarter or half Wheatstone bridge. It also accepts a full bridge; in full bridge mode it amplifies any standard load cell. It can be embedded in any application, or is available with optional enclosure for standalone use.

Tacuna Systems EMBSGB200 Load Cell Amplifier Features
The Tacuna Systems EMBSGB200 offers three versions: -M, -C and -X. The C version offers manual gain and offset adjustment from a gain select DIP switch. The M version also has manual gain and offset from an offset adjust potentiometer. The X version controls gain and offset programmatically through an RS232 port.
All versions of this strain gauge amplifier easily interface with your microprocessor, analog-to-digital converter (ADC), or programmable logic controller (PLC) for reliable strain signal measurements. Accessories for all versions are at this link.

I am currently using 9 of these boards. Chris Lange of Tacuna systems has been very helpful in assisting with setup, debugging, and tailoring the boards to my specific needs. I am using 8 of them to amplify quarter bridge strain gauges that get the resonant frequency of a vibrating tank. I am acquiring the data with LabView at 2000 samples per second. After some adjustments and tinkering, the boards are working flawlessly at 1000X gain with minimal noise. I am using a ninth board in full bridge mode to modify a digital hanging scale. The scales accuracy has gone from 100 grams to 0.6 grams and now connects to a computer instead of a small digital display. It rivals in precision and accuracy to scales costing many times more. I would highly recommend this product for your strain gauge amplification needs. Easy to use, relatively inexpensive, and highly sensitive and flexible.
