Miniature and Load Button
Miniature load cells and load buttons measure force in spaces too small for a standard load cell. We carry ANYLOAD products in aluminum and stainless steel.
Which Style Fits Your Application
- Load buttons are short, round compression sensors with a raised button on top. They quantify forces that press on the button and suit press-fit, clamping, and assembly testing applications. Through-hole models let a bolt pass through the center to measure clamping forces.
- Miniature S-type and side-mount load cells measure both tension and compression, for cable and spring testing, small hoppers, and automated machinery.
Choosing a Miniature Load Cell
- Load direction: load buttons measure compression only. Choose an S-type or side-mount model if you also need tension.
- Mounting: a load button needs a flat, rigid base and a load centered on the button. Off-center or side loads reduce accuracy.
- Capacity: small sensors are easily damaged by overload, so leave a margin above your expected maximum and consider a mechanical overload stop.
- Signal: pair the sensor with a load cell amplifier to send its signal to a PLC, controller, or data acquisition system.
